¿Qué es ser un Buddy UP?
Significa ayudar al estudiante extranjero en su integración académica y personal, y lograr que su experiencia de intercambio en la UP sea la mejor.
Los requisitos son:
- Ser estudiante regular de la Universidad y estar cursando como mínimo el tercer ciclo de su carrera.
- Tener un promedio ponderado acumulado no menor a trece (13.00).
- Tener nivel intermedio del idioma inglés y opcional manejar otros idiomas.
- Presentar una carta-evaluación firmada por un docente a tiempo completo en la que se presente al estudiante y en la cual refleje las aptitudes necesarias, tales como responsabilidad y vocación de servicio.
Beneficios:
- Los alumnos que sean seleccionados pueden convalidar un crédito (1) de servicio social universitario, al completar mínimo 15 horas de voluntariado en una ONG.
- Al ser miembro de la organización podrás conocer y hacer amigos de distintas partes del mundo
On January 2nd UP received the students from Wisconsin University to carry out the program “Business and Economics in Peru”
During two weeks of intense activity, the students received a series of seminars given in English by prominent teachers of our institution. The program that is more than 10 years old is part of the Tailor made program that we
develop for universities partners.
The program also includes visits to local companies and cultural activities such as dance and Peruvian cuisine. The students were able to visit various public and private companies, to have a better knowledge about the social and economic reality of Peru. Among the places visited were: the Central Reserve Bank of Peru, the Lima Stock Exchange, Banco de Crédito, San Juan de Lurigancho, among others.
In this way, the participants have access to an unforgettable academic and cultural experience.
Live internationalization in UP!
The internationalization is a key element in the academic experience of a student. For this reason, the Universidad del Pacifico promotes the mobilization of exchange students from and to abroad.
As proof of this, this semester we received more than 120 international students and it was a pleasure to give them the welcoming into this new experience.
Our best advice is that you be open minded and flexible in order to enjoy each moment of your exchange program!
Last two weeks, they participated in the Welcome Week! All these activities were also organized by our best team, Buddy UP.
They took surf classes, dance classes and also learned how to prepare our main dish “el ceviche”
Our best wishes for this new adventure that for sure it will be full of emotions, learning, and friendship!
