I am pleased to share a recent working paper co-authored with Tania Ramirez and Veronica Hurtado at the Centro de Investigación de la Universidad del Pacífico (CIUP), titled «Mining, political settlements and inclusive development in Peru». The paper is based on research conducted in a four-country project led by Anthony Bebbington of Clark University, and involving colleagues in Bolivia, Ghana and Zambia, taking a longer-term perspective on issues that challenge us today. This project, in turn, forms part of the broader program on Effective States and Inclusive Development run by the University of Manchester. A Spanish translation is in the works.
