En agosto de 2015 tuve el honor de ser elegida Vicerrectora de Investigaci\u00f3n de la Universidad del Pac\u00edfico, un puesto nuevo en un estatuto nuevo, y un importante reto profesional. \u00a0 Significa, que mi tiempo ser\u00e1 dedicado mayormente a la creaci\u00f3n e implementaci\u00f3n de pol\u00edticas para promover la investigaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de nuestra Universidad — entre alumnos, asistentes y profesores. \u00a0 Estimular la curiosidad entre los mas j\u00f3venes, y promover trabajos en equipo con m\u00faltiples disciplinas, pues para conocer el mundo no basta con las herramientas de una sola. \u00a0 Promover tambi\u00e9n una mayor internacionalizaci\u00f3n de nuestros estudios y conocimientos, pues si conocer y cambiar el Per\u00fa ha sido nuestro prioridad siempre, hoy tenemos que conocer mejor al resto del mundo y reforzar nuestro lugar en ello.<\/p>\n
Si mantener un blog siempre me fue dif\u00edcil por cuesti\u00f3n de tiempos, ahora ser\u00e1 mas dif\u00edcil aun. \u00a0Por ello les agradezco a quienes han le\u00eddo estos posts hasta ahora y mis disculpas por no poder mantenerlos al d\u00eda.<\/p>\n
In August of 2015 I had the honor of being elected Vice President for Research at the Universidad del Pac\u00edfico, a new post created under a new university statute, and an important professional challenge for me. \u00a0 It means that my time is dedicated primarily to creating and implementing policies to promote research across our university — among students, assistants and faculty. \u00a0It means stimulating the curiousity of our youngest students, and promoting reseach teams from different disciplines, because it is impossible to understand our world with the tools of just one. \u00a0 It also means promoting greater internationalization of our studies and knowledge. \u00a0 While understanding and changing Peru has always been our priority, today we must understand the rest of the world and strengthen our role within that broader context.<\/p>\n
